Using case studies that mirror real-world scenarios, problem-solving exercises, and expert guidance, you will deepen your understanding of the key elements of delivering deep fabric retrofits, including moisture management, airtightness and more, while tackling the unique challenges of retrofit projects.
Discover how to manage retrofit risks and costs, reduce unintended consequences and deliver quality retrofit using tried and tested techniques and applicable to EnerPHit, AECB Carbonlite, PAS2035/20 and other standards and guidance.
This course consists of four live, interactive online sessions led by trainers experienced in retrofit projects of all scales:
Session 1: Introduction to retrofit, whole building approaches, and introduction to moisture in buildings.
Session 2: Exploration of moisture risk, insulation, and problem areas in retrofits.
Session 3: Thermal bridging, airtightness and wind tightness, building services in retrofit.
Session 4: Building services continued, case study tutorial and retrofit in reality - explore what happens in real situations and the practical challenges when a project gets to site.

If you wish to defer, you must give at least 7 days notice and can defer once free of charge, subsequent deferrals may incur a £50 admin fee. Participant substitutions for courses can be made at any time but the person taking the exam must have completed the whole course.

Yes, you must have your own individual copy of the PHPP software, required to register for the designer exam. PHPP10 software costs from £170 and can be purchased directly from the AECB.
