Trade-Specific Training for Construction Site Teams

Good building performance depends on getting the details right, and every trade has a part to play. Trade-specific training is bespoke, in-house construction training that teaches each trade (groundworkers, insulation installers, airtightness specialists, and others) exactly how their day-to-day decisions affect a building's energy performance and quality. Coaction delivers trade-specific training to Tier 1 contractors and their supply chains across the UK, helping teams working towards Passivhaus, EnerPHit, AECB, and other performance standards understand what good delivery looks like in practice.
Why does trade-specific training matter for site teams?
Many building performance issues trace back to small, specific details on site: a gap in insulation, an incorrectly installed membrane, or a poorly coordinated interface between trades. These are rarely failures of intent, they're failures of understanding.
General training gives site teams useful oversight. But different trades face different risks,so a general session can only go so deep. For example, groundworkers don't need a detailed understanding of airtightness or commissioning — but they do need to know exactly how to lay below-ground insulation efficiently and where extracare prevents failure later. A targeted, trade-specific course allows time to go into that level of detail; a general session doesn't.

The evening will begin with drinks and nibbles on the balcony, followed by a tour of our office and a visit to the nearby Passivhaus home of Coaction and WARM Director, Sally Godber.
Whether you've trained with us, worked with us, partnered with us, or are simply interested in low-energy buildings, we'd love to see you.

<h2>1. Admirals Hard - (1st floor office - Certified EnerPHit)</h2>
The Coaction &amp; WARM office at Admirals Hard is located within Plymouth's historic waterfront. The project demonstrates how Passivhaus principles can be successfully applied to an existing building, delivering excellent comfort, indoor air quality and energy performance while working within the constraints of a refurbishment project.
During the tour, we'll explore some of the key features that contribute to the building's performance, including:

<li>High-performance windows and doors</li>
