Associate Director & CEPH Designer at Architype
Ann-Marie Fallon is an Associate Director at Architype and has recently led in the development of Architypes third studio in Scotland. She has worked with many firsts in relation to Passivhaus in the UK, most recently the 1st Passivhaus primary school in Scotland (Riverside Primary School), but also projects such as the UKs first commercial Passivhaus Plus office Bicester Eco Centre, and the UKs first high-density residential development Agar Grove. Her interests also lie in retrofit and building fabric health, and she has led on Architypes research and application of EnerPHit informed retrofit approaches to public sector estates.
She has for many years given back to industry by way of teaching/education: she is a unit convenor in environmental design at the University of Bath, is a guest tutor at various universities, and has been external examiner for architecture and Part 3 courses across Ireland and the UK. She has been rewarded in recent years in recognition of her work, making the final Architects Journal 40 under 40 list, and recently the 2023 Architects Journal Sustainability Champion of the Year.
