The live online classroom instruction, delivered by a diverse group of industry experts, was engaging and enjoyable. The ability to ask questions in real time, exchange experiences, and discuss the practical applications of complex concepts with both experts and peers was invaluable.
What was the key learning outcome for you?
The instruction on building physics, contextualised with real-world examples—such as the primary issue of heat loss through convection, the accurate calculation of energy loss and associated costs, and practical solutions—greatly improved my understanding. This knowledge has been particularly valuable in industry, especially when communicating the benefits of energy efficiency in the fields of renovation and retrofit.
How will you apply what you learned?
The knowledge gained from this course is now integrated into the design and detailing of all practice projects. The positive feedback from designing and delivering energy-efficient, climate-responsive buildings that are well-received has expanded the practice’s reach, attracting a broader range of clients and project types.
